I was born in Chicago, IL and at the age of fourteen began high school at Tabor Academy, a small boarding school located on Buzzards Bay in Marion, Massachusetts. While at Tabor Academy, I received a Pandolfi Music Scholarship which provided her with voice lessons. I toured New York City, Chicago, and St. Petersberg, Florida with the Madrigal Singers, a mixed voices a capella group. I also toured England and Wales with Tabor’s production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown as Lucy. I directed a production of Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphoses and created a one woman cabaret titled Musical Mayhem. I was a member of the Southeastern Massachusetts District Chorus in 2002 and 2003 and the Massachusetts All-State Chorus in 2003. When I graduated from Tabor Academy in 2004, I was proud to win awards for Greatest Contribution to Choral Music and Greatest Contribution to Drama. When I arrived at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, I began her primary training at the Playwrights Horizons Theater School. While there I trained in acting, directing, design, musical theater, dance, and creating original work. Between my freshman and sophomore year, I spent the summer in my hometown at i.O. Chicago’s Long-form Improvisation Summer Intensive training center. For my advanced studio training at NYU, I was a member of the Playwrights Horizons Practicum for one year. After so many years at Playwright’s Horizons, I decided I needed to expand my mind and give myself some new challenges. I applied and was accepted into the Experimental Theater Wing where I studied acting, contact improvisation, creating original work, and singing/vocal composition for my final year. With BFA in hand, I have been hard at work in New York City, supporting myself and making my way. I have also been pursuing my passion for writing and hope to be performing in and producing some new media pieces soon, as well as finishing my novel-in-progress, The Narrow Abyss, very soon.
