Margaret Sagarese is a New York Times bestselling author of fourteen non-fiction books. Margaret graduated from the State University of New York at Albany and began her career as an educational materials writer. In the 1980's she segued into writing self-help books for women in disastrous relationships including "The Passion Factor: How to Handle Love and Sex at Work" appearing on both the Phil Donahue Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Her workplace related advice brought her to the attention of Charlene Giannetti then editor of  Working Smart, a nationally acclaimed newsletter for middle managers.  The teaming led to a new creative direction: parenting books for the parents of 10- to 14 year-olds, an underserved and explosive demographic market.  Sagarese became an in-demand keynote speaker, pioneered as an online expert at both Time Warner’s site, ParentTime and iVillage’s Parent Soup and a consultant for the National Middle School Association (now AMLE.)  Her marketing savvy led her to consulting work with Ceridian, American Express, IBM, the Girl Scouts, and Frito Lay. Margaret continues to write on a wide range of topics from celebrity biography, parenting, to travel.
