Christian Vautier Le Concept’s brand new chocolate shop in the Lower East Side is not just another truffle joint; this place is the real deal. The perfect place to gather up all of your Easter goody bags and holiday treats, Christian Vautier’s latest addition to Broome Street has got you covered, in more ways than one. The aroma of the finest Parisian chocolate hits you as you walk in because everything is made on the premises. Whether you’re in the mood for a unique passion—fruit ganache or a coconut covered truffle—Christian Vautier Le Concept cannot be missed.
Opening their doors on March 4th, this adorable chocolatier shop hosts an impressive line of homemade chocolate treats, truffles, ganaches and baked items. Their truffles and ganaches run about $2-$3 a piece. They also have several signature jams, including passion fruit and mango white chocolate, dark chocolate and raspberry, and apricot and milk chocolate, which run about $16 each.
If you’re more of a mallomar person, the homemade marshmallows covered in chocolate and salty caramel are to die for! And if you’re looking for something to bring to your family’s Easter dinner, don’t miss the impressive dark and white chocolate eggs, filled with chocolate covered almonds and nestled around a bed of chocolate covered hazelnuts. These egg packages run about $24. There are also smaller Easter-inspired white chocolate truffles that sit inside an adorable milk chocolate wheel barrow, which run about $20.
Christian Vautier caters to the New Yorker on the go as well as the New Yorker who enjoys lounging. Come in for an espresso, catch up on some emails with their free wifi and plentiful electrical outlets, and delight on a salted caramel chocolate kiss, one of their specialty chocolates. Also be sure to visit again in the next couple months when the store plans to extend its eatery into a wine and chocolate venue.
