Most New Yorkers rarely sightsee. It’s just one of those things. But, on the rare occasion that one of us makes the effort to walk in the shoes of a tourist, we’re usually glad we did. Top of the Rock is a special place—even for a full-on New Yorker—because it’s not just an observation deck with panoramic views of the city. It’s a viewing experience filled with history and multi-media enrichment. There are many layers of history and entertainment on the trek up to the top, complete with memorabilia, filmographies, architecture, a history of Radio City and NBC Studios and a bit of information about New York City during the Golden Age of live television. It was a different era, for sure, and you’ll feel like you’re back in time and an important part of history in the making.
