Longing to see beautiful spring flowers? Don’t head to the park, head to Macy’s. In both New York and Washington D.C., the world’s largest department store is dazzling shoppers with thousands of colorful, fragrant blooms. This year’s theme is Towers of Flowers, so plan to see tall structures festooned with everything from roses to cacti. For serious flower lovers, there are tours to explain the many displays. The rest of us, however, are happy just to wander through this indoor garden, knowing that April showers will soon bring outdoor flowers.
