What Would Peppy Wear?

The Artist_bejo

Michel Hazanavicius’ daring, silent comedy-drama The Artist stars Jean Dujardin as George Valentin, a matinee idol in Hollywood before the talkies and Bérénice Bejo, as ambitious chorus girl with a heart of gold, Peppy Miller. And ah the clothes! We see them again in “Midnight in Paris” and again in “Hugo.” Dropped waists, unconstructed shapes-but for draping, longer skirts, and palazzo pants. Here are modern interpretations, some close enough to be worn then…should you too have an opportunity to go back in time. (To purchase an item click on the product name in red).
