Rhodes

Barcelona

This is the perfect weekend city break destination to soak up some of the Spanish culture and history and is sure to delights all of the art-lovers among you. Barcelona has fantastic metro links with trains running every few minutes all across the city and it is incredibly easy to decipher the tangle of coloured subways map lines so there is no need to worry about getting lost.

Malta

This archipelago is charmingly situated between the north coast of Africa and Sicily and is an idyllic island getaway perfect for the solo traveller or for a trip with the girls.

Swim in azure waters on the mostly uninhabited island of Comino and sunbathe on the luscious beach there. Try some of the fresh fish in the village of Marsaxlokk and even opt for a boat ride around the island after lunch.

If you are a fan of the popular ‘Game of Thrones’ series then you can take a guided tour of some of the areas where the show was filmed which is sure to make everyone at home incredibly jealous.

Malta is a superb location and you could easily spend a week there and still find new and interesting things to see and do – this is one destination that you may just have to visit twice.
