New York City Restaurant Week – July 22 to August 18

Here’s some exciting news for our readers who love to dine out. The  NYC Restaurant Week, summer edition, will run from July 22 to August 18 for a total of four delicious weeks. It features the summer’s highly anticipated dining opportunities throughout all of the five boroughs. The prix-fixe program invites guests to sample a fascinating array of eateries and unlimited cuisine options. Restaurant Week was created in New York City decades ago in 1992 as a one-time event to welcome the Democratic National Convention. The meal deals found a strong following and has continued with a summer and winter program.

NYC Restaurant Week offers prix-fixe menus starting at $30 at hundreds of participating restaurants and neighborhood favorites. Taxes, tips, and beverages are not included. To peruse participating restaurants and to book your table, visit the official NYC Restaurant Week page starting on Tuesday, July 16 and continuing throughout the event.  Visit the website: Book Now: NYC Restaurant Week.  Whether you want to visit a new spot, relax at a favorite in your neighborhood or try a spot you never experienced, make some memorable meal plans.

Restaurants in the program may participate for one, two, three or all four weeks. Some of them are extending their specials and offering their NYC Restaurant Week menu through September 1. In general, restaurants have opted into certain meal periods from Monday through Friday. Saturdays are excluded from the program; Sunday participation is optional. It’s important to check each of the restaurant’s website for hours of operation and their regularly scheduled closings. There is no take-out or delivery for the prix-fixe meal specials during NYC Restaurant Week.

Many of our favorite spots are participating this year.  Here are just some of them.
