Rooftop Dining in Times Square

Spring has sprung and that means it’s time to put away the puffy coats and scarves, bring out the warm weather fashions and make plans to enjoy all that the city has to offer. Here is a list of recently opened and classic rooftop dining experiences on behalf of the Times Square Alliance. There’s a diverse group of destinations with food and drink to relish while you enjoy stellar views in the heart of midtown. Make plans to visit these top spots when you’re in the Times Square neighborhood for a show, shopping, or when touring in midtown. They are great for New Yorkers and guests of the city.

Bar Sprezzatura (790 8th Avenue, 16th Floor) – Located at the Kimpton Hotel Theta, the new Bar Sprezzatura is inspired by the Italian Riviera and features signature spritzes, martinis and refined stuzzichini. As a picturesque setting for an aperitivo, pre-theater drinks or dining experience, Bar Sprezzatura is open daily for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. @barsprezzatura

Interlude Rooftop Lounge (150 West 48th Street, 38th Floor) – As a sanctuary in the sky with panoramic views, the Interlude Rooftop Lounge serves craft cocktails and snacks/small plates ofsalumi, burrata and gourmet cheese, chips and dip, and more. Open Sunday to Tuesday from 6 pm to 12 pm, and Friday & Saturday from 6 pm to 2 am. @interluderooftop

Sushi Lab (132 West 47th Street) – Perched atop the Sanctuary Hotel New York, Sushi Lab elevates the omakase experience on their rooftop garden terrace, filled with greenery and wood décor. In addition to à la carte items, sushi enthusiasts can choose from the popular “Chef’s Selection” which includes 11 signature courses or “The Lab Experience” of 15 signature courses with some of the finest ingredients like fresh truffle, wagyu, and caviar. Haven Rooftop (132 West 47th Street) – Also located at the top of the Sanctuary Hotel New York, Haven Rooftop offers a welcome retreat from the bustling streets below and features lush greenery accents throughout the 2500 square-foot space, as well as plush seating areas and intimate cabanas.@havenrooftop

Beast & Butterflies (226 West 52nd Street) – Located at the M Social Hotel in Times Square, Beast & Butterflies is a secluded oasis featuring a wraparound terrace and indoor glass perch. Escape the city below and drop in for a glass of wine, a curated cocktail and some bites. @MSocialNewYork

St. Cloud Rooftop (6 Times Square) – Located on the 17th floor of the Knickerbocker Hotel, this stylish rooftop spot features breathtaking cityscape views with stylish indoor and outdoor seating, crafted cocktails, craft beers, and seasonally inspired small plates. The Dickens (783 8th Avenue) – Known as one of the district’s largest Broadway cocktail bars, The Dickens is a literary-themed multiplex open for dinner, drinks and dancing. Brooklyn Chop House (253 West 47th Street) – Brooklyn Chop House fuses the traditional steakhouse with Asian cuisine, offering steakhouse classics like dry-aged 30–45-day prime steaks while also turning diner staples like pastrami, Philly cheesesteaks, and Reubens into dumplings. Playwright Celtic Pub (732 8th Avenue) – Also waving the green, white and orange flag, the Playwright Celtic Pub is open seven days a week from 10 am to 4 am, spanning across four floors and a roof deck.
