Poet’s Corner – April Surprise

April surprise.
Spring arrives with visitors.
Two Mallard ducks
Mated for life, protecting each other
Gracefully playing with seeds and grass
Investigating underneath holly bushes.
On silent steps I greet them
Delighted with their acceptance of closeness
As they journey together..
