Poet’s Corner – Before Nightfall

The day’s rain turns pink and green islands bright yellow

Whispering clouds enlighten the scene

The night remains pearly and soft between darkened clouds

A crescent moon appears as the summer triangle

Emerges long before nightfall

As lights in a sequence of colors paint the bay

In an expanding sky.

The poem, “Before Nightfall” and the image, “Moon Gate” by Marsha Solomon
