Poet’s Corner – Cosmic Spin

Early morning moon hides behind clouds

Shaped like butterflies.

Wings soaring wide and colorful

As long as the summer days.

Ease into the shade

Watching clouds lift

Cross and fold like wingless fans of gold and red

Soaring like a thin cloak of atmospheres

Changing patterns across the sky

Like a cosmic spin.

Poem called “Cosmic Spin” and artwork “Red Butterfly” by Marsha Solomon
