Poet’s Corner – The Harbinger

Spring:
Earth’s shining hope;
Births anew;
The song bird’s inspiration.
Spring:
Love rises up
To kiss our daydreams.
Spring:
Rosebuds waft desire;
Forget-Me-Nots
Promise courtships
In all matters of love.
Cherry Trees
Blossom pastels,
In shades which
Awaken us from
Frozen slumber.
Spring:
Plucks the heart strings
Of the mortal composition.
Spring:
Graduations;
Easter Bunnies;
The new lambs.
Spring:
Eternal hope;
The cleansing of the past,
Leaving us with refreshed eyes
Which only look forward.
Spring:
Our genesis;
Our song of life.

Oh Spring,
How we welcome thee
At the end
Of our winter’s discontent.
