Poet’s Corner – Illumination

Sparkling gems like stars in the Milky Way,
Dance around the edge of the bay
Like a string of pearls.
Reflected through the glass.
Whorls of deep indigo blue turned black
Blankets the night in a silky cover of warmth.
A trail of illuminated ornaments
Remains between outstretched branches
Long after nightfall.

Poem and artwork, “Dance of Midnight,” by Marsha Solomon
