Poet’s Corner – Spring’s Song

In the elixir of spring’s breath,
Like babies sighs;
And puppies cries;
Cleaning beds from winter’s death:
It’s refreshing to find
The new; the few; the true,
Who climb
Like the vining rose;
Or carry the sweet scent
Of moonlight’s Jasmine, in repose.
While the sun shifts,
To then divine,
Those sweet-pea sprouts
‘Gainst  garden’s twine.

In the elixir of spring’s gift,
Where earth is broken
From tulips lift;
I am reminded
Of Hyacinth’s bounding waft,
With such a loftiness
It floods the morning
With what can be:
An endless sea
Of the new born dandelion;
Presenting wishes
Without reason;
Then floating, rising
To their season…
They find their way
As children play;
And lambs frolic
Atop the blooms of May.

Ah yes,
Spring’s Song:
Sung from hearts with new love.
When all along
We hear the bluebells;
And promise of forget-me-nots;
As we dip into the wells
For Eiswine sips–
So kisses, like soft petals,
May grace our lips.
