Poet’s Corner – We See You

We see you.
And in the reflection of your courage
We will try to stay as strong.

We see you.
Make no doubt about your choices.
Democracy is well worth the work.

We see you.
And though we cannot feel your suffering;
We share in your mettle; your wisdom; your strengths.

We see you.
The world watches and battles next to you in this struggle.
We cannot let the thugs in; but we can shine peace out.

We see you.
We know the beauty of democracy is being hunted down:
Hunted down by mad dogs and feckless leaders.

We see you,
And like you, we will fight for democracy.
Like you, we believe in liberty’s freedom.

We see you.
As our hearts ache.
And our eyes tear with hope, strength and pride.

We see you.
We are you.
And we are all connected…

Amen
