Where to Dine on Valentine’s Day in D.C.

The trio of restaurants under the guidance of Culinary Director Orlando Amaro, will be offering guests a four-course Italian feast. These include Lupo Verde, located at 1401 T Street, NW, Lupo Verde Osteria, located at 4814 MacArthur Blvd, NW, and Lupo Marino, located at 40 Pearl Street, SW, 20024, within The Wharf.  The four-course, prix fixe menu at Lupo Verde and Lupo Verde Osteria is priced at $60 per person, while Lupo Marino’s is proced at $40 per person. Located at 815 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 20008, one block from the White House, the Bombay Club is offering a five-course, prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  prepared by Executive Chef Nilesh Singhvi. Guests can enjoy live piano music from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.  The Bombay Club’s Valentine¹s Day menu is priced at $85 per person (plus tax and gratuity), and is available exclusively during dinner service on Thursday, February 14.  For reservations or additional information please call (202) 659-3727 or visit the restaurant’s website. 

The Michelin-starred Blue Duck TavernatPark Hyatt Washington, D.C., located on the corner of 24 and M Streets, NW, 20037, will celebrate Cupid’s big day with decedent dishes for sweethearts to enjoy this Valentine’s Day.  On February 14, Executive Chef Adam Howard will present a four-course, prix fixe menu priced at $135 per person (tax and gratuity not included).  Blue Duck Tavern’s Valentine’s Day feast will be served exclusively on Thursday, February 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. 

In Reston, Virginia, Red’s Table, located on the waterfront at 11150 South Lakes Drive, will offer a variety of specials on their seasonal a la carte menu this Valentine’s Day, prepared by executive chefs Melddrick Aguilar & Keven Weathers. The a la carte specials at Red’s Table will be available during both lunch and dinner service, from Thursday, February 14.  

Ambar, DC’s first Balkan restaurant, located at 523 8th Street, SE, is offering guests the opportunity to experience some of the best traditional dishes from the Balkan Peninsula, prepared with a modern twist this Valentine’s Day.  Couples will enjoy unlimited small plates from Ambar’s popular Balkan Experience menu. Ambar Capitol Hill’s Valentine’s Day menu will be available on Thursday February 14, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.  There is a two-hour time limit for all parties.  

Dyllan’s Raw Bar Grill, located along the historic C&O Canal in Georgetown at 1054 31 Street, NW, is featuring a four-course Valentine’s Day menu priced at $85 per person (tax and gratuity not included).  It will be available from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 14.  Prepared by Chef de Cuisine Darren Hendry, the menu showcases regional American cuisine, which centers around its modern raw bar.  The restaurant takes pride in working with local purveyors and artisans who adhere to rigorous sustainable standards.  

In Glover Park, Slate Wine Bar + Bistro, located at 2404 Wisconsin Ave., NW, is featuring a four-course, prix fixe menu priced at $65 per person, or $105 with wine pairings (tax and gratuity not included) this Valentine’s Day.  Prepared by Chef/Owner Danny Lledó the menu showcases a ‘melting pot’ of flavors based on his upbringing in the kitchen and vineyard, combining great wines and classic techniques with a contemporary flair.  An a la carte bar menu with a selection of small plates, entrées and desserts will also be available exclusively for guests who dine at the bar.  Slate Wine Bar + Bistro’s Valentine’s Day menu will be served from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 14.  

Mintwood Place, the intimate neighborhood brasserie located in the heart of Adams Morgan at 1813 Columbia Road, NW, will offer a variety of specials on their seasonal a la carte menu this Valentine’s Day, prepared by Chef de Cuisine Matthew Cockrell. Mintwood Place’s Valentine’s Day menu will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 14.  

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at 801A 9th Street, NW (9th & H Streets), will be offering two entrées and one dessert special, which will be available in addition to their regular a la carte dinner menu from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 14.  

SABABA, located in the heart of Cleveland Park at 3311 Connecticut Avenue, will also be preparing a decadent four-course, prix fixe menu showcasing “modern Israeli” cuisine this Valentine’s Day, prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Moore. SABABA’s Valentine’s Day menu is priced at $60 per person (tax and gratuity not included) and will be served from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, February 14.  

Located across Lafayette Square from the White House at 800 16th Street, NW, 20006, The Hay-Adams offers guests Washington’s most prestigious address with views overlooking the White House, Lafayette Square and St. John’s Church, the “Church of the Presidents.”  On Valentine’s Day, The Lafayette will offer a four-course, prix fixe menu priced at $220 per couple (tax and gratuity not included), or $240 with a glass of Taittinger Champagne, available from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Guests can anticipate contemporary American cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Nicholas Legret and Chef de Cuisine Jacopo Beni in addition to attentive service in a stately, elegant setting.
