Summer Fancy Food Show – For All Things Food and Drink

It’s a wrap. The Summer Fancy Food Show by the Specialty Food Association was just held at the Jacob Javits Center from Sunday, June 29 to Tuesday, July 1. It was an incredible opportunity for press and trade to experience food and drink items that are trending throughout the world. It is the industry’s top product discovery event, offering a curated showcase of high-quality, artisan products in more than 40 categories with tasty samplings available. There were items that included sweets, beverages, pastas, meats, prepared foods, seasonings, and so much more. Love cheese? The World’s Best Cheeses section of the show had every variety imaginable from the best purveyors.

In addition to the excellent product displays by producers and distributors, expert panels shared fascinating information for professionals. We attended “Cupcakes On-Demand: What Micro Fulfillment Can Do for Makers” that was presented on the big idea stage by Emma Stockdale from DoorDash; Eddie Revis from Magnolia Bakery; and Jack Acree, a CPG Veteran. DoorDash delivers treats from Magnolia Bakery and it was interesting to learn about the process and consumers’ buying habits.

There was a great deal of positive energy during the three-day show with people making connections on all things specialty foods. The partner country this year was Italy and their many delectable products were showcased for guests. Woman Around Town was there for this annual event and we got to know many of the people who were displaying their fine foods.  Check out some of our many favorites!
