Poet’s Corner – Early May

Like a blue sail, my skirt twirls

With the breeze cooling the constant warmth

Of the sun.

Shadows along the path, fall in patterns

Resonating leaves and flowers.

Designs interweave

Which stretch along the way.

Earth provides a canopy of green

In a gathering of colors.

Linear branches cross in twists and leaps

Holding the young leaves

Reaching out in joyful union.

Early May applauds the newness of time repeated.
