Poet’s Corner: Anticipating Nightfall

The sky moves in billowing tonalities, 
layered blankets of soft blue gray
hovering over a bright orange and yellow horizon. 

Through the veils and pillows, gentle nuances of drapery paint the sky
as water reflects enchanted light in deepening tones edged in jewel like colors anticipating nightfall.
