Poet’s Corner – Early Morning

The long stretch of carpeting

Welcomes my early morning walk

Before whispers and spoken greetings appear

Counting many spoons to awaken the eyes

I step by step by step to circle

And lift and point,

Balancing in twirls and twists

Capturing the exquisite timing

0f music before the sun’s warmth welcomes.

Poem, “Early Morning,” and artwork, “Early Morning Cup” by Marsha Solomon.
