Poet’s Corner – Seven Sisters

Seven sisters luminous

In blue white light

Stars dance and sparkle

On a cold winter night

In wondrous gaze

Our women join in the

Mythical phrase

An asterism of beauty

Becoming one thousands of stars

And strength so very far

We cling to the dome of sight

Celebrating women’s beautiful light.

Poem, “Seven Sisters,” and artwork, “Pleiades,” by Marsha Solomon

Marsha’s note: In celebration of Women’s History month, I wrote a special poem and created an artwork celebrating the evening sky, the Pleiades. In Greek mythology, the stars of Pleiades represent, The Seven Sisters with their stories and myths.
