Poet’s Corner – Thanksgiving Day

The moon in a shadowed sky.

November enters singing in surprising warmth.

Day spent baking in many hands

Encircled as one tastes

As family approaches

We embrace the time in gentle movements

Of body and mind

Quieting the nuances of reflections

Waiting for the moon to appear again.
