Valentine’s Day Cocktail Recipes to Love

Holidays are a great time to practice your mixology skills and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.  Whether you are enjoying a drink to wind down after a busy day, having cocktails with your galentines, entertaining family or crafting a drink for that special someone, here’s seven recipes using top spirits that are sure to impress. Check them out and cheers to Valentine’s Day! 

Devil’s Kiss

Ingredients:

-2 oz Dirty Devil Vodka

-2 oz Espresso

-1 oz White chocolate liqueur 

-1 oz Coffee liqueur 

-1 oz Simple syrup

-Espresso beans for garnish and chocolate covered strawberry on the side.

Method: Add the vodka, espresso, white chocolate liqueur, coffee liqueur and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into pre chilled martini glasses. Garnish with three espresso beans and serve with a chocolate covered strawberry on the side.

Dirty Devil Vodka

Rhubarb & Ginger Martini

Ingredients:

-2 oz Edinburgh Rhubarb and Ginger Gin

-1/2 oz Dry Vermouth 

-Garnish: Lemon Twist 

Method: Add ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 10-15 seconds and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Pomegranate Passion (by Tom Byrne Mixologist at the Hoxton Hotel)

Ingredients: 

-1 Oz Mezcal Campante

-1 Oz Fresh Lime Juice

-1 Oz Pomegranate Juice

-1 Oz Soda 

-0.5 Oz Agave Syrup (If Needed For Sweetness)

Method: In a shaker, combine the Campante, lime juice, and pomegranate juice. shake well and serve in a glass with a couple of ice cubes. top up with a splash of soda and garnish with add a couple of pomegranate seeds and diced dragon fruit.

Mezcal Campante

Ingredients:

-1 oz. Beach Whiskey Bonfire Cinnamon

-1 oz. Apple Schnapps or Liqueur

-1/2 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

-1 can Blue Moon Belgian White Beer, Method:

Method: Add all ingredients except beer to a cocktail shaker, shake and strain over ice. Top with Blue Moon and add apple slice garnish.

Beach Whiskey

Rosewater Punch

Ingredients:

-2 oz Chambord

-2 oz Fords Gin 

-2 oz Good-quality red wine

-1/4 oz Rose water 

-2 whole Strawberries

-4 oz Ginger beer 

Method: In a blender, place the Chambord, gin, red wine, strawberries, and rose water. Blend until the strawberries are completely pureed. Strain the mixture evenly into 2 wine glasses along with some ice. Top with a splash of ginger beer and garnish.

Dancing in Love

Ingredients: 

-1 1/2 oz Strawberry Infused El Bandido Yankee Blanco 

-2 oz Rosé Prosecco

-2 oz Blood Orange Juice

-1/2 oz Rose Cordial 

Method:  Combine tequila, blood orange juice, and rose cordial in a mixing glass with ice. Stir quickly to chill then strain into a coupe glass. Too off with chilled rosé Prosecco. Garnish with blood orange slice.

El Bandido Yankee

Young Hearts

Ingredients:

-1 strawberry

-1.5 oz Broken Shed Vodka

-0.75 oz elderflower liqueur

-0.75 oz fresh lemon juice

-0.5 oz simple syrup

-1 dash orange bitters

-1 egg white

-Garnish: 1 freeze-dried strawberry

Method: In a shaker, muddle the strawberry. Add the remaining ingredients, dry shake, then shake again with ice. Double strain into a coupe. Top with a freeze-dried strawberry.
