Awaken the early grass,
Daisies face in threes
Looking forward,
Planters thrown here and there
As the wind subsides.
Stepping towards the sun on fertile ground
Cool air teases the day as glad as can be.
Seeds scattered elect their spaces
Inching towards growth
As corners show small floral shapes.
Beginning of spring approaching,
The months are as slow as my steps
Long and careful
Motioning towards the season.
Dropped away, my coat tells the story
Now off my shoulders
In welcoming the warmth of day.
